Natural Nora Beauty and Wellness Apothecary is a one-stop shop for natural hair care and beauty and wellness products. By now, most of you know that Truly Charmed is all about supporting and promoting women-owned businesses, and that I have an affinity for handmade/natural products. For this reason, I was so excited to have the opportunity to try a couple of Natural Nora’s skincare and hair products. Read on to find out about my experience with the lemongrass and sage body and hair butter and the shampoo and bath gel. First, here are a few things that you should know about Natural Nora Beauty and Wellness Apothecary Location: 4013 Farrow Rd Columbia SC 29203 Telephone: 803-261-5982 Shop for Natural Nora’s Beauty and Wellness Products: https://squareup.com/store/naturalnora Web Address: www.naturalnorastudio.com Business Description (as posted on the business’s social media pages): “We are an all-natural, handcrafted hair & body care product company. Our products are formulated with the best botanical ingredients, natural oils and herbs,c reating superior natural hair & body care products” Now, let't talk about the Lemongrass and Sage Hair and Body Butter. The body and hair butter is a part of Natural Nora’s Shea Hair and Body Collection. The company describes the butter as “a luxurious creamy body and hair butter, excellent for dry skin, cracked heels and feet and eczema”. Here’s where I will start. I took the body and hair butter to a photoshoot that I coordinated. The models LOVED it! They were very complimentary of the lemongrass and sage fragrance. They also raved about the velvety texture. After shooting for a couple of hours, one model commented that her skin still felt very moisturized, which she said is not the norm for her very dry skin. I totally agree that the butter has a lovely fragrance. I believe in the benefits of aromatherapy, and I found this lemongrass and sage fragrance to be so calming. I even used the butter as a massage oil, applying it to pressure points and massaging after a long day at work. It was so relaxing. As remarked by my model friends, I also found the butter to be a long-lasting moisturizer. What I really love is that a little goes a long way. Pro(s): reasonable price, great fragrance, long-lasting, natural product Con(s): I would recommend a more durable label (has absolutely no bearing on the quality of this great product). Ingredients: shea butter, sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, fragrance Price: 8 oz. $12.95 Natura Nora describes this product as a natural, vegan shampoo that gently cleanses and moisturizes the hair and body. I don’t know about you, but I like for my shampoo to create a good lather, and this shampoo does that. I used it on my relaxed hair and my daughter’s natural hair. For both of us, the shampoo provided a great cleanse and did not dry out our hair. Again, I love a product with a nice fragrance and this one did not disappoint. The 8 oz. bottle would last me a good while because I did not have to use a lot to thoroughly shampoo my hair or my daughters thick, 4c coils. Pro(s): a little goes a long way, lovely fragrance, natural product Con(s): just the label thing stated above (no biggie) Ingredients: Aqua Potassium Oleate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Potassium Palm Kernelate, Palm Kernel Acid, Potassium Citrate, Fragrance Price: 8 oz. $12.95 I would definitely recommend that you support this business.
