She Made It is so much more than an online business directory. This page is dedicated to honoring the ingenuity and entrepreneurial fortitude of women. We are celebrating the audacity of women to prosper on their own terms while blazing trails for others who will dare to enter the world of business ownership. It's the brand stories for me! There is not one brand story on this page that has not motivated me in some way. It is my hope that readers, not only find new businesses to support, but that you are impacted in a positive way by the women featured here. Read on to get to know the latest addition to She Made It, Andrea Cameron, wardrobe stylist and founder of the personal styling firm Fashion Your Life.

Andrea Cameron | Fashion Your Life

Intro
I am Andrea, a wardrobe stylist and personal brand stylist. I am also a fashion designer who specializes in custom-made clothing. With over 20 years experience working in the fashion industry all across Canada I now reside on Vancouver Island. I am part of the slow fashion movement, a disruptor of the status-quo, constantly questioning the so called norms. I taught myself how to get out of the perpetual cycle of consumerism and now I help other incredible women uncover and represent their authentic expression of self through their wardrobes.

Inspired by
I've always wanted to have my own business. After graduating from fashion design school instead of following my passion I took the 'safe route' and went to work for someone else. My experience is invaluable for sure but that entrepreneurial spirit never goes away, you know? I decided to study business management part time while I was still working full time, to help me understand the business lingo. While it was certainly helpful and critical to gaining the confidence I needed to run my own business, nothing beats just starting a business and getting to it. Shortly after graduating from my business program I realized I was tired of someone else telling me what to do and how to act, so I finally put myself first and said YES to me and my dreams.

Services offered
My current program is called STAND OUT STYLE which is tailored for women who are bringing their expertise into the online world and want to bring their wardrobe up a notch so they show up with confidence as their unique ass self and stand out for the expert that they are in the online world. I am working on specific types of designs that can be custom made for anyone in the world and I have a library of one-of-a-kind upcycled designs. My website will be updated with these items shortly. Advice to future fashion entrepreneurs
Always remember that there is room for all of us and we need each other to learn and grow. All too often people in fashion get competitive or comparative and that simply does not work. Most importantly, know who you are talking to and talk to them long enough and often enough that they actually see or hear your message. This will set you apart so get to know them really well and be very specific with how you are talking to them, what you are talking to them about and knowing what they like and where they are. You are an expert in something, the more specific you can be the better. When you doubt yourself, remember your brilliance.

Proud accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment as a business owner has been showing up authentically online and finding the most incredible women along the way, both clients and collaborations. I am a social introvert and I use to shy away and be really awkward online, not knowing what to say or how to say it, not recognizing the value and worth I had to offer. Through loads of soul searching and personal development I have found the confidence to shine and now I help my clients with this as well. What I do is so much more than coming up with an image that matches your uniqueness, it's about helping you shine authentically.

What's next for Fashion Your Life?
I am currently undergoing a rebrand which has been a big project and is about to be revealed. STAND OUT STYLE is a new program and I am super excited about it because it has been designed based on customer research and feedback to provide a truly transformational experience.
